Terrence Chambati, an MBA Student at African Leadership University (ALU), commended the leadership of Paul Kagame in many areas including conservation.
Quoting the Native American proverb — “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.” — Mr. Chambati also showcased how President Kagame was able to leverage diversity in order to create value for citizens and stakeholders. In the area of conservation, for instance, Mr. Chambati mentioned the award President Kagame received from The Word Travel Market for his efforts in promoting sustainable tourism and conservation.
Mr. Chambati was speaking at the Business of Conservation Conference on November 1st, 2018. The theme of the conference is: ‘Investing in One of Africa’s Greatest Assets’.
Organised by the African Leadership University (ALU), the three day conference brings together over 300 participants from 35 countries to gain a better understand of one of Africa’s greatest competitive advantages and learn how the wildlife economy is providing tangible socio-economic benefits to communities, providing jobs and serving as the most powerful incentive for conservation.
